Floor Restoration Project in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

The Work

In this living room, the pine floor had previously been covered up by carpet due to the loose boards and gaps. We started the restoration by fixing down any loose boards and then fitted pine slivers to all the gaps.

We then carried out a four-stage sand finishing to 80 grit, before applying filler across the entire floor to fill in any remaining gaps or screw head holes. We then finished sanding to 120 grit. We applied one coat of Medium Oak stain followed by two coats of lacquer. Then followed by one final coat of lacquer with hardener & anti-slip additives added in.
